PPSR registrations – seven year period ends 30 January 2019

Goods with serial numbers that are registered on the Personal Property Securities Register (‘PPSR’) are secured for a maximum period of seven years from the date of registration. From 30 January 2019, it is possible that PPSR registrations (registered for seven years) will start to expire.

If you have serial numbered items registered on the PPSR, you should check the expiry dates for their PPSR registrations and see when they need to be renewed. If a registration expires, you may become unsecured and lose the security.
