Hannah Hill

Immigration Lawyer - Migration and Foreign Investment

Hannah is an immigration lawyer in the firm’s Migration and Commercial/ Investment division team.

She has worked in immigration law since 2021, and was admitted to Legal Practise in the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia in 2024, after graduating from Bond University.

She began her career in a leading criminal defence firm on the Gold Coast, where she gained extensive experience advising non-citizens facing deportation and removal, particularly those affected under section 501 of the Migration Act 1958 due to character-related issues.

Hannah has represented clients in complex immigration matters, including responding to notices of intention to cancel visas from the Department of Home Affairs, preparing submissions under s501, and representing clients in the Administrative Review Tribunal (ART).

Hannah’s experience extends to citizenship applications, including citizenship by conferral, descent, and evidence of citizenship, as well as partner visa applications, particularly those involving challenging circumstances such as domestic violence, criminal records, or prior visa refusals and cancellations.

Hannah frequently works with clients who are in prison or detained in immigration detention centres. She recognises how stressful and overwhelming these situations can be not only for visa holders, but also for their families and support networks. Hannah values the importance of providing clear, practical, and timely legal advice to help those in need.

Hannah works tirelessly to achieve the best possible outcomes for her client’s no matter how complex the circumstances.
